ENGINE HARNESS CONNECTIONS

The following connections are included with this engine harness assembly...

SUPPORTED ECU: CORE ECU BY HP TUNERS
This engine harness is for use with the CORE ECU by HP Tuners. The four AMP Super Seal 1.0 style connectors are used to make a connection to the CORE ECU.
CRANK/CAM SIGNAL TYPE: 24X/1X
The Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor connector on this harness is for use with all Gen III 24x LS CKP sensors. The early Gen IV LS2 engine also uses the 24x LS CKP sensor.
The Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor connector on this harness is for use with all Gen III 1x LS CMP sensors. This sensor is located at the top rear/center of the engine behind the intake manifold.
THROTTLE SYSTEM: DRIVE-BY-CABLE (DBC)

The throttle body connectors on this harness are for use with the 3-wire Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and 4-wire Idle Air Control Motor (IAC) installed on all cable-driven LS style throttle bodies.

This harness will not work with a Drive-by-Wire (DBW) throttle system.
FUEL INJECTOR TYPE: EV6
The fuel injector connectors on this harness are for use with EV6 style fuel injectors. GM used the EV6 injectors on most Gen IV LS-Series engines.
For engines using EV1 style fuel injectors, purchase our plug and play EV6 Harness to EV1 Injector Adapter Set of 8 from our Adapter Harnesses for CORE.
MAP SENSOR TYPE: DELPHI (EARLY LS ENGINES)
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connector on this harness is for use with the early LS style Delphi MAP sensor. This sensor is commonly used with Gen III LS-Series engines.
For engines with the late Gen IV Bosch style MAP, purchase our order-to-length adapter harness AWP-6043. from our Adapter Harnesses for CORE.
MAF SENSOR TYPE: LS3/LS7 SLOT/CARD
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor connector on this harness is for use with LS3/LS7 style MAF sensor. See our MAF Adapter Harnesses for CORE if you are using a different MAF sensor. MAF is not required, but an IAT breakout harness will be required for speed density operation.
LAMBDA SENSOR TYPE: BOSCH LSU 4.9
CORE ECU requires two Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband O2 (lambda) sensors. This harness provides a connection for bank 1 and bank 2 lambda sensors.
EOP SENSOR TYPE: EARLY LS-SERIES
The 3-wire Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor connector on this harness is for use with early EOP sensors. NOTICE! Single wire oil pressure sending units on certain LS engines are vehicle gauge cluster specific and not compatible with the GM PCM or CORE ECU. EOP is not required.
For engines with the late Gen IV style EOP, purchase our order-to-length adapter harness AWP-6044. from our Adapter Harnesses for CORE.
KNOCK SENSOR TYPE: SINGLE WIRE RESONANT (TWO SENSORS)
The Knock Sensor (KS) connector on this harness is for use with the knock sensor sub harness used with LS engines that have two 1-wire resonant type knock sensors located in the engine valley below the intake manifold.
ALTERNATOR TYPE: 4-CAVITY LS-SERIES
The alternator connector on this harness is for use with all 4-cavity LS alternators. Notice the single red wire is all that is needed to turn on the alternator.
For 2 pin LS alternators, purchase our order-to-length adapter harness AWP-6042. from our Adapter Harnesses for CORE.
ECT SENSOR TYPE: 2-WIRE LS-SERIES
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor connector on this harness is for use all 2-wire ECT sensors.

1998 Camaro/Firebird LS1 engines will require the removal of the 3-wire ECT and replace with a 2-wire ECT sensor.
TRANSMISSION TYPE: MANUAL SUPPORTED | 4L60E/4L80E SUPPORT AVAILABLE
This harness provides a 20 pin I/O connector that mates with HP Tuners transmission harness p/n COR-HAR-004 for 4L60E and 4L80E transmission support. HP Tuners CORE 4L60E/4L80E harness sold separately.
VSS TYPE: LATE GM | ALL PRODUCTION LS
The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) connector on this harness is compatible with all factory GM LS style speed sensors. Conversions using an 80s or early 90s VSS will require an adapter harness sold separately.
BARO TYPE: 1-BAR PACKARD/DELPHI STYLE
CORE ECU supports the use of a Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor. We suggest the use of a RIFE 1-BAR BARO Sensor. BARO is not required.
COMMUNICATION/DIAGNOSTIC LINK: RJ45 ETHERNET
CORE ECU communicates with your Windows-based PC via an ethernet RJ45 connection cable. A tethered sealed dust cap is included.
HPT NET SUPPORT: M8 CIRCULAR
HPT Net support is included through the 22 AWG M8 cable assembly.
CAN BUS SUPPORT: DEUTSCH/AMPHENOL DT SERIES CONNECTIONS
CORE ECU has two CAN bus networks (in addition to HPT Net). Two 4-pin Deutsch/Amphenol style connectors are included for CAN bus expansion. A sealed cap is included for each CAN bus connector.
ELECTRICAL CENTER: GM STYLE FUSE BLOCK ASSEMBLY
The included electrical center is an OE style Aptiv bussed fuse block assembly containing ignition relay, fuel pump relay, fuses, and alternator 500 ohm resistor. Electrical center legend is laser engraved into the bottom of the included dust cap.
