This Generator (Alternator) Pigtail 4 Pin Regulator is built to work with CORE ECU by HP Tuners. In combination with EFIConversions’ pigtail, this standalone ECU delivers superior control, performance, and customization options for Generation 3 and Gen 4 LS platforms. Whether you’re a professional or auto enthusiast, this pigtail will help you overcome the limits of factory ECUs for applications such as:

  • Circuit & Drag Racing
  • Rallying
  • RestoMods
  • Engine Swaps & Transplants

DIY PINOUT DETAILS:

CAVITY WIRE FUNCTION OTHER END
A BLOCKED - -
B 18 AWG RED TURN ON (CHARGE) SIGNAL 470 OHM RESISTOR, THEN CORE ECU C4
C BLOCKED - -
D BLOCKED - -
IMPORTANT!:
To prevent damage to your generator (alternator), you must install a 470 ohm resistor inline between the generator (alternator) and the CORE ECU.
470 ohm resistor is not included.

BEST PRACTICE:
CORE ECU by HP Tuners engine harness COR-HAR-001 and COR-HAR-002 use an inline 500 ohm resistor in the electrical center (fuse block) in the form of a mini fuse. While 470 ohms is commonly recommended, 500 ohms is completely acceptable.

"Why is this connector white in color?"
Commonly, the aftermarket uses a black connector with four available cavities and install a red cavity plug in cavities A, C, and D. Aptiv (formerly Delphi) made this white connector with cavities A, C, and D molded as blocked (no cavity plug required). We simply see no need to use the black connector when the correct connector can be used for this application.

This Generator (Alternator) pigtail meets or exceeds the quality within Original Equipment (OE) harnesses:

  • Assembled with the same materials found on production engine harnesses.
  • Terminals are crimped with production applicators and/or Rennsteig hand tools to exceed pull test requirements.
  • Assembled in the USA
